Due to the way I was treated by Rachel Myatt and certain members of the Church of the New Jerusalem Canada and Dawson Creek I hereby affirm I am creating and setting forth the H.A.R.P. Organization. The acronym stands for Humanity Against Religious Prejudice. I will tell my story and how I was treated and about others who I know who were discriminated against because of their religious beliefs. The sad thing about my story is that I was wanting to learn more about the Church of The New Jerusalem and not only did Rachel but the Pastors and Reverends pushed me away. I will stand up for anyones religious beliefs even if they are ones I dont agree with. I want others to tell their story of bigotry, hatred, hurt, and suffering because of their faith. I mean no disrespect to the New Church as a whole but I wanted to show Rachel that one act of cruelty can spread worldwide and make the person you hurt a better person. I am going to continue to love people of all faiths accept them for who they are and if they believe in Christ as I do then it is something we can agree on but if they dont I will not slander, put them down, or belittle their faith or say it is wrong because in their heart it is not and I am not one to judge that. If you are interested in spreading the word and helping me create The H.A.R.P. Organization then please comment or leave your story as part of this blog.
Here is a wonderful essay written by Swain and Eric Wodening called "The Nature of Religious Bigotry"http://wodening.englatheod.org/swain/bigotry.html
I want to reiterate this is not an attack or attempt to discredit the Church of The New Jerusalem in anyway, shape, or form. I have had some nice replies and correspondence from some very loving and caring Pastors and Reverends in the U.S. this is a reaction to the way I was treated by Rachel Myatt and the General New Church of Canada and if need be I can compare, contrast, and exhibit all replies and correspondence to prove my point but it is not about that it is about loving others and Religious Tolerance among our brothers and sisters and not holding hate, bigotry, and animosity against those who believe different than us.
God Bless All
